Our Experience and Technical Expertise

Each NWTF faller has a minimum five years, verified commercial timber falling experience.  Most have over 20 years each in the timber falling industry.

The Advanced/Lead Fallers also have a minimum of three years wildland firefighting experience with at least six wildfire assignments and a minimum of falling 30 fire damaged trees.

• I-100 – Basic Incident Command Systems
• S-130 Basic Firefighting Training
• S-190 Introduction to Fire Behavior
• Standards for Survival/Fires Shelter Deployment
• First Aid/CPR (annually)
• Arduous Work Capacity Fitness Test (annually)
• Annual Refresher Course –
  Covers the Fire Shelter curriculum along with a review of S-130 & S-190

We Are Ready

• Our fallers are ready to mobilize within 2 hours of a dispatch call.
• Equipment and supplies are checked, repaired and replenished on a regular basis.
• Chainsaws are maintained in good working condition and all the necessary
  maintenance tools and extra chains are brought on each incident.
• Each vehicle (truck & ATV) is serviced and ready
