How to Order

"I am an Engine Captain on the Cleveland N.F. near San Diego, California. Last year I took a fire assignment to Washington as a Felling Boss. I had the privilege of working with the Northwest Timber Fallers. I found their attitude and ability to cut safely and fast in tough terrain was exceptional. I have worked with a lot of contract fallers over the years and all over the country and have found the Northwest Timber Fallers to be best, not just in ability to do the job, but also in professionalism."

Talbot Hayes
U.S. Forest Service
Captain 49

“Rob & Jerry are two of the most professional timber fallers that I have ever had the pleasure to work with. Their performance, attitude, flexibility, willingness to train. Equipment and personalities on and off the line shows that they are setting the standard for professional timber fallers in this country,”

Jason C.
Division Group Supervisor
Tripod Complex

In 2005 on the Blossom Complex Fire, NWTF was nominated for an Exceptional Performance Award by the Southern Wyoming Handcrew. In the nomination it states,
“. . . allowing us to tag along and learn some of the finer point of falling. We would especially like to thank NWTF timber fallers for taking the time to teach and explain how to properly size up and fall extremely difficult trees. It is not often young fallers get the opportunity to learn from such experienced personnel. Their willingness to teach and their emphasis on safety is unparalleled.”

“NWTF brought back the professionalism and experience that has been lacking in falling operations on wildfires. The 4 fallers always chose the difficult right way over the easy wrong way & never showed discouragement when times were bad or confusing.”

Ray C.
Task Force Leader
Blossom Fire, 2005

"Jerry is an excellent employee with superior falling ability.  He is physically capable of performing his job on the most hazardous terrain. I would recommend that he be re-assigned to another incident ASAP.  Any team would benefit having him on their fire. He is willing to help cutters from hand crews when asked. He is extremely safety conscious for himself and others.”

Daren W.
Felling Boss
Blossom Complex, 2005

“Ken is a good spokesman for NWTF. His professional and positive attitude keep things rolling during confusion. He is always willing to go up the hill to grid for trees and safety is always #1. It was a treat for me to work with quality fallers.”

Dean K.
Felling Boss
Williams Butte Fire, 2004

“Robert is very professional and skilled at timber/hazard tree falling. He is very safe and alert for all hazards. He keeps the safety of personnel around the falling area in mind at all times. I highly recommend him for any hazard tree/fire assignments.”

Larry W.
Falling Boss
Biscuit/Zone 3, 2002

“Roger did an excellent job for us on Div Q. He is a very professional and skilled faller.  Roger moved with the crews and helped identify hazard trees as they worked down the line. Roger would be an asset on any fire and I’m glad I had the chance to work with him.”

Scott J.
Division Supervisor
Biscuit Fire, 2002

"NW Timber Fallers were fast, professional and efficient in responding to our needs during a recent flood this past November 9th. They fell 22 hazard trees in one day giving us peace of mind when we had no other options. I would recommend them in a heart beat for effective service and great work."
